Intact constructed IT infrastructure of the Laminam Rus plant

The Intact company announced on October 2, 2017 project implementation on creation of IT infrastructure of the turnkey Laminam Rus plant.

Project terms

The customer selected for design and deployment of IT infrastructure to the Intact command only three months - it is extremely small term for the project of such scale. At the same time, the area of the plant is 14 thousand square meters saturated with own communications. These are the fire-prevention, electric systems and network of water supply of production lines. However for Intact these features of the project became not a problem, but the next call.

Project Progress

In design process and implementations Intact solved difficult, non-standard tasks of integration of IT and a production infrastructure on an industrial facility of 14 thousand square meters in size.

To meet the set deadline, the decision to unroll IT infrastructure along with carrying out construction works was made. At the same time designers of a structured cabling system had to consider arrangement of production communications and engineering networks. Specialists of Intact, in return, considered diagrams of adjacent contractors to conduct works only on those sections where the construction is completed.

Solutions of the companies Cisco Systems Dell EMC Microsoft, VMware and others were applied to creation of IT infrastructure of the plant. The wired network is built on the equipment Cisco Systems and works at speed 1gb/s. Also at the plant will unroll Wi-Fi with a high density of a covering, wireless allowing to function IP telephony. A system IP- telephony is constructed based on Cisco Unified Communications Manager and includes the module of Cisco UCCX contact center.

We needed to unroll Wi-Fi on the area of 14 thousand sq.m for ensuring work of the IP telephony and control of automatic loaders. At the same time the gas-electric (combined) roasting furnaces which create powerful noises work at the plant. To ensure stable functioning of Wi-fi, we carried out radio inspection of the plant with the working production line and further used data retrieveds at design of a subsystem of WI-FI — the sales director of Intact Alexander Batyrev told.

The local network is protected by a failover cluster of firewalls of new generation. For installation of server applications the virtualization cluster based on technologies of VMware with the selected storage system from Dell company and the isolated network working under the FiberChannel protocol is created.

For the purpose of ensuring energy security the system of uninterrupted power based on the equipment of domestic manufacturer Svyaz Engineering is installed. If necessary it can be scaled easily more than twice. The conditioning system of server is constructed based on two semi-industrial conditioners and reserved according to scheme 1+1 with a possibility of rotation of loading between conditioners.

Project Results

On a response of the customer, IT systems of the plant working 24/7 meet all safety requirements and the fault tolerance necessary for full automation of production.
