oXiris (system of purification of blood)

2017: Announcement

In September, 2017 Baxter provided as the company claims, the first in the world system of purification of blood which can be used at the same time during continuous replacement kidney therapy and treatment of sepsis (blood poisoning). The new solution presented on the congress European Society of Intensive Care Medicine 2017 in Vienna received the name oXiris.

It can be used for neutralization of tsitokin, endotoxins and other mediators of inflammation in blood of the person.

Before oXiris intended only for continuous kidney replacement therapy together with the Baxter Prismaflex system applied to treatment of patients with a sharp renal failure.

oXiris has the marking of CE assuming that the equipment can be on sale more than in 30 countries of Europe and some states of the Middle East and Africa. The producer is going to submit applications for obtaining permissions to distribution of a system in other markets, including on American.
