RailCommerce ETP was placed in an IaaS-cloud of IT-Grad

On December 20, 2017 the company "IT-Grad" P announced use of service by Reyl Kommers service "FZ-152 Cloud" for personal data protection.

The customer company started office in Kazakhstan and other countries. With respect thereto gain of formats of data protection on the platform was required.

Specialists of the customer conducted examination and selected the contractor for rendering services, held a set of consultations, investigated a regulatory framework and estimated possibilities of participants. Created requirements for project implementation.

Carried out work on signing of the contracts and preparation of infrastructure for migration of a system — executed load tests, rolled scenarios of recovery then made changes as much as possible to adapt annexes to new infrastructure. Developed policy for personal data processing and the block of the acceptance (acceptance) of its conditions by users.

On October 4, 2017 the IT-Grad company announced project completion on placement of infrastructure of RailCommerce electronic marketplace in a cloud IT Grad.

Project Tasks

During creation of www.railcommerce.com services under different categories of clients compliance of development to dynamics of business development is crucial. It is necessary to react extremely precisely to changes of amounts of data, functionality of applications, requirements of regulators and at the same time to have an opportunity to manage costs.

Cloud infrastructure allows to reach similar flexibility in design and development. Any other options look rather a compromise. Besides, cloud solutions allow us to concentrate attention on development of our application and not to spend resources for the organization and deployment of the bulky infrastructure solution — Sergey Gorsky, the board member of Reyl Kommers LLC emphasized.

Choice of provider

Before beginning to use the cloud platform, RailCommerce asked a question of search of suitable provider.

Selecting service provider, we were guided by a possibility of placement of resources in two geographical zones — Russia and Kazakhstan and also were guided by experience of provider of services of cloud infrastructure regarding data protection according to requirements of the legislation of these two countries. Project Progress

Need of close work with provider regarding data protection became nuance, interesting to customer company. So, any change of infrastructure upon the demand of RailCommerce is carried out by forces of administrators of IT-Grad.

On a withdrawal of RailCommerce, at first such approach strongly confused as standard cloud infrastructure means a big share of freedom in administration from the customer. But understanding that these restrictions help to guarantee security of the solution and security of service helped to get used quickly enough to such provision and even to get from it additional positive experience in a part of planning of the actions.

Taking place in a cloud, RailCommerce uses the mechanisms of management of scaling allowing to increase in dynamics system nodes, whether it be a frontend or a storage system. After the long experiments it was succeeded to achieve an acceptable ratio regarding compliance to requirements of the legislation and effective use of the last achievements in creation of online solutions.

On a withdrawal of the company, the main objective which successfully is solved using a cloud is achievement of the necessary abstraction layer when developing services. Developers always have an opportunity for work in a net environment, at the same time in the presence of almost unlimited resources for testing of any changes and their application in a working environment. And all tasks of scaling, balancing of loading, replication and fault tolerance stop being a critical call for administrators in view of lack of a binding to "iron".

From pluses of use of a cloud it is possible to note flexibility of solution management and costs for its service, fast reaction and close work with provider on our specific objectives. From minuses — we had a complexity in setup of our specific environment. Due to the lack of sufficient information about nuances of the organization of infrastructure of DPC it was necessary to consider some systems as "a black box". Nevertheless, it should be noted that even in case of difficulties there was always an opportunity to receive the qualified help of administrators of provider, noted in Reyl Kommers.
