2017: Announcement of Aquilion One Genesis Edition CT

At the end September, 2017 of Toshiba Medical Systems which in the 2018th will be renamed into Canon Medical Systems announced new model within a series of the Aquilion One KT-scanners. The range of the producer filled up the device Genesis Edition CT.

He uses the neuroiterative  algorithm  of reconstruction allowing to improve recognition of sections with a low contrast and to provide high-contrast spatial resolution.

Also innovation received the three-phase variable system of setup of a step of a spiral thanks to which doctors can receive the image of all body for one scanning.

Use of the neurologic protocol in Aquilion One Genesis Edition CT allows to execute several volume scans of all brain with a light dose during introduction of contrast substance to receive assessment of perfusion and to carry out dynamic analysis of vessels of all brain within one research. Protocols of dynamic volume scanning can also be used for three-dimensional visualization of mobile structures of joints.

In cardiology a new system allows to receive images of all heart for one turnover of a gentra for assessment of coronary vessels or for one warm reduction for performing complete functional diagnostics. At the same time each three-dimensional image of coronary arteries will be received with homogeneous contrast gain and for the same phase of a warm cycle.

Big width of a scope of the detector of the Aquilion One Genesis Edition CT system allows to scan most bodies for one turnover of a gentra, need for use of the spiral mode thereby is eliminated and, therefore, beam load of the patient significantly decreases.[1]
