Synthesis: Polymeric containers for storage of blood and its components

Joint-stock Kurgan company of medications and the products "Synthesis" (enters into Marathon Pharma) announced on October 9, 2017 obtaining registration certificates on four types of polymeric containers for donor blood and its components. Products, according to representatives of the enterprise, have no domestic analogs and will be available for sale in 2018.

Purpose of products

Application for blood transfusion, containing leukocytes, quite often leads to the subsequent complications at the recipient, increases the term of stay of the patient in a hospital, requires application of strong antibiotics for knocking over of complications therefore the leykofiltration of donor blood before transfusion is legislatively accepted in many countries of the world — the managing director of Marathon Pharma (enters into Marathon Group) Igor Krylov told. — Products of JSC Sintez are the first the domestic containers for receiving leykofiltrovanny blood and erythrocytes which are not conceding on the technical and functional characteristics to the analogs registered in the Russian Federation from Japan, Korea, Poland, France and Germany.

Device of containers

Polymeric containers of single application represent the closed system for a fence and storage of blood and its components and are made of 450 ml in three - and four-chamber options, with leykofiltry and without it.

Capacity where the first portion of blood (about 50 ml) gathers that blocks hit of cages of an epithelium and bacteria from integuments in the main container is provided in devices.

Function of connection of a vacuum test tube is also provided — it is used for sampling of blood on laboratory analyses.

For protection of the health worker against accidental injuries in products of Synthesis there is a protector blocking a needle after the procedure.

Production of containers

Containers are developed according to requirements of "The technical regulation about the security requirements of blood, its products, krovezameshchayushchy solutions and technical means used in trasfuzionno-infusional therapy", the approved Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 29 of January 26, 2010 and are made on the modern German equipment KIEFEL providing the accuracy of qualitative indexes of a medical product.

According to representatives of the enterprise, power of Synthesis can provide requirements not only to Russia, but also the CIS countries and the Neighboring Countries.

Russian market

Annually in Russia over 1.8 thousand tons of donor blood and its components are prepared, about 1.5 million donors are registered. The market of containers for donor blood is estimated not less than at 3 million containers a year.

According to the president of Marathon Group Alexander Vinokurov, expansion of a line of the Russian innovation medicines and medical products is a part of strategy of group on development of own production assets.

We set the task of formation of a product portfolio for the hospital segment meeting three key requirements — high quality, a full compliance to international standards and the cost, smaller in comparison with foreign analogs, and the first step is taken in this direction — Vinokurov added.
