Company "Aplana. Development center", entering into IT Group, completed the project on creation and system implementation of knowledge management (SUSA) in the field of automated process control systems (APCS) for Transneft company. A system is used by more than 1600 employees of PJSC Transneft and the organizations of a system Transneft.
Prerequisites
Before the Transneft company having a large number of the geographically distributed enterprises and exchanging considerable information volumes sharply there was a problem of use of data on the solved problems and their applications in the organizations of a system Transneft for the purpose of accumulation, enhancement and management of joint knowledge of the equipment, processes of work and to the ideas.
Before implementation of SUZ division of an APCS used the general FTP resource for information storage. Communications were conducted by means of telephone communication and e-mail. Use of similar tools complicated work of divisions, not each employee had an access to FTP. Information exchange between services APCS of societies of a system Transneft took place in the basic through the head company, first of all, in a format of the meetings held by department of information technologies with participation of regional specialists. "Capacity" of such channel, for obvious reasons was limited, and, as a rule, many questions remained beyond the scope of discussions.
Project Tasks
For Transneft the practician and positive experience represents special importance not only accumulation and preserving of knowledge, but also information exchange between the child organizations in the company for the purpose of acceleration of distribution of front lines. The company traditionally pays special attention to strengthening of horizontal internal communications in the APCS direction. There was a need of creation of network of technical experts (so-called network groups) which could ask a question and to receive prompt response. Not less important, aspect was also need of identification and encouragement of the most active employees of the company.
As a result in Transneft the decision on creation of a knowledge management system, the tender for which development and deployment was won by the company "Aplana, was made. Development center".
Project Progress
At the first stage consultants Aplana.TsR booked audit of the current knowledge management processes, inspected structure of organizational hierarchy and the procedure of execution of tasks. The concept of creation of a knowledge management system including requirements and a methodological development approach of SUZ and also a technique and an order of use of SUZ in the organization was by results developed. After approval and the statement of a methodological part specialists "Aplana. TsR" started direct creation and system implementation which is placed on the internal corporate Intranet-portal available to all staff of the organization.
Investments into competences and knowledge are inefficient without a special system. We are glad that the management of PJSC Transneft also the company "Aplana attaches priority significance to issues of development and preserving of knowledge. Development center" helped to create the system allowing to develop and apply knowledge to performance improvement and efficiency of the organizations of a system Transneft — the commercial director "marked out Aplan.
