Rosatom will deliver radio isotope products for medical institutions of Morocco

On October 10, 2017 in the city of Rabat (Morocco) the CMI Développement company and Regional council of the area Marrakech-Safi (the Kingdom of Morocco) and also Rusatom Healthcare (affiliated enterprise of ROSATOM State Corporation) and the regional center of Rosatom for the Middle East and North Africa signed the memorandum of understanding providing long-term cooperation in creation of the multifunction centers of radiation processing in areas Marrakech-Safi and also to sale of radio isotope products for medical institutions of Morocco.

From the Russian side the memorandum is signed by the CEO of Rusatom Healthcare Denis Cherednichenko and the director of the regional center of Rosatom in the Middle East and in North Africa Alexander Voronkov, from the Moroccan side — the Managing director of CMI Développement company Saad Shazhe and also the vice president of the region Marrakech-Safi Miluda Hazeb.

The Moroccan and Russian sides after signing of the memorandum of understanding

The CEO of Rusatom Healthcare Denis Cherednichenko emphasized importance of the signed memorandum expanding the horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Morocco: We see high potential in the Moroccan market of radiation processing and are convinced of demand of our isotope products at medical institutions of the Kingdom.

Commenting on signing of the memorandum, the Head of the commission on economic and social development, environment protection and formation of the region Marrakech-Safi Abdelaziz Gaudzhi in return noted: Regional council Marrakech of Safi and CMI Développement company are glad to the beginning of cooperation with such authoritative organization as Rosatom which has competences of use of radiation technologies both of agriculture, and of medicine. It is sure that our cooperation will create high value added in these sectors both on local, and at the regional level.
