Stavropolgorgaz implemented the Datum Server system

On October 19, 2017 the company Datum Group announced implementation GIS- platforms Datum Server in Stavropolgorgaz JSC. Cartographers, engineers and programmers of Datum group step by step created a basis of future GIS, putting graphic objects and filled them with attributive characteristics. Creation of EKBD demanded efforts of 35 specialists.

First of all the cartographic basis on the territory of the city of Stavropol of scale 1 was created: 10,000. The relevance of a cartographic substrate is extremely important for drawing networks – electronic "double" of the line of the real gas pipeline should be located accurately rather existing constructions, roads and quarters on location. End users of a system – service PTO and ADS – should find with ease necessary objects during field works. Therefore for digitization of the territory the latest orthophotomaps and satellite images were used.

In parallel with creation of a cartographic basis the paper archive JSC Stavropolgorgaz was transferred to an electronic format. More than 5000 folders of technical documentation are totally processed. Work difficult and laborious, considering that many documents were used from 1950th years.

Using materials of paper archive engineers of Datum group filled the database of networks of gas distribution. In addition to 1877 km of gas pipelines adjacent communications of 5215 km were applied on a cartographic substrate: water supply system, sewerage, communication wires, power transmission line. Any latch was not missed – totally on the gas distribution network 60,358 objects are put. The corresponding folder from electronic archive is tied to each object, as well as to the gas pipeline. Thus, even in the mode of normal viewing EKBD represents a source of the fullest information on all Stavropol network. Search of necessary information is reduced many times – to hammer a request into a search line to the address, the name or characteristic of an object enough and to wait for result of issue. Process usually takes several seconds.

The created model is dynamic: after transfer to use of specialists GIS of JSC Stavropolgorgaz will independently change data on network of gas distribution. Instruments of editing a system allow both to delete, and to complete network and objects, to supplement and edit attributive information.
