Dell EMC NFV Ready Bundle for VMware is the complete solution for telecom operators designed to accelerate implementation and to reduce the total costs at accomplishment of problems of virtualization of network functions (NFV).
Dell EMC NFV Ready Bundle for VMware is the integrated hardware-software solution. It includes the Dell EMC hardware (computing blocks and network equipment) based on open standards based on Intel Xeon processors and the VMware vCloud NFV platform with software of VMware of vSAN or Dell EMC ScaleIO. The opportunity of implementation of integrated solution using VMware Integrated OpenStack-Carrier Edition or VMware vCloud Director acting as managers of virtual infrastructures will be offered customers.
The NFV technology helps providers of communication services and mobile operators to react quicker to changes of market conditions and to reduce costs in the course of implementation of communication services of fifth generation (5G).
Thanks to the approved and universal solution, along with a large-scale ecosystem of technology partners, providers of communication services will be able to unroll the flexible NFV environments capable it is easy to adapt to the high-growth market of communication services.
2017: Release
The companies Dell EMC VMware integrated also on October 26, 2017 and tested the Dell EMC hardware for cloud infrastructures and OpenStack- the compatible platform VMware vCloud NFV, having produced complete integrated solution for telecom operators.
The packet of Dell EMC NFV Ready Bundle for VMware intended for providers of communication services will help to construct clusters, ready to work, and to develop services for subscribers. The ready-made tested solution will reduce time of implementation and considerably will accelerate commercial start of services.
The solution satisfies the needs for virtualization of infrastructures and, if necessary, is capable to offer the exhausting customization opportunities for the satisfaction of specialized requirements. The open architectures of Dell EMC and VMware and the advanced equipment rooms and program components developed for NFV are its cornerstone.
Ecosystem of the solutions vCloud NFV and VMware Ready for NFV
VMware vCloud NFV represents completely integrated, modular, multirent platform conforming to requirements of the European institute of telecommunication standards (ETSI). The vCloud NFV platform combines infrastructure of virtualization of network layer functions of the operator with the guaranteed management and service at the stage Day 2 that ensures implementation and the subsequent due functioning of NFV projects. VMware Ready for NFV provides confidence in efficiency of implementation, start and compatibility of functions of virtual networks with VMware vCloud NFV from different suppliers, claim in VMware. As of October, 2017, virtual network functions (VNF) more than forty partners underwent certification for work with vCloud NFV.
