Eastwind will deliver for Beeline Kazakhstan the VCS system

On October 30, 2017 the Eastwind company announced delivery of the VAS Creation Stack (VCS) system to Kar-Tel LLP, working in Kazakhstan under the Beeline brand.

Delivery purpose

"Kar-Tel" decided to become more independent in creation of software products. Based on the VAS Creation Stack platform the operator expects to create additional services and to start new services for subscribers without involvement of vendors.

Choosing a Solution

To reduce costs for implementation of services and technical support of existing, own staff of developers or high-level the solution designer what VAS Creation Stack (VCS) is is necessary.

"Kar-Tel" selected the second option — more flexible and economic from the long term. VCS will not demand from the staff of operator of profound knowledge in programming and will allow to reduce time of start and completion of new services by 2-3 times. On what earlier months left, will perhaps implement in weeks, claim in Eastwind. Service of products will also become simpler, thanks to the single interface of management which will integrate different VAS services in one system.

Choice of the supplier

The operator carried out the tender for delivery of such platform in two steps. The first, starting in 2016, was started on model of lease of VCS at vendor, and allowed to assess a preliminary situation in IT market. Further the operator suspended tender, and restarted it in June, 2017 on commercial model. Eastwind won the tender as the solution of the company completely conformed to technical requirements of the operator to a system.

Project Progress

We already organized the first steps on implementation of the contract — went to Kazakhstan, discussed future solution architecture — Artem Kirishchev, the head of Eastwind sales department commented on a victory in the tender. — It is important to understand that despite globality of a system, it should be individual and most precisely answer the purpose of the specific operator. Therefore now we study detailed technical specifications. As soon as it is ready — we will begin development and step-by-step implementation.

The operator separated project implementation into two phases: in the beginning it is necessary to implement all primary obligatory modules, then — additional. In 2017 Eastwind will transfer a part of the services existing in Beeline Kazakhstan to a single platform of VCS.

The implemented system will serve as a development environment, testings and implementations of additional services for subscribers. Through flowcharts in the graphical interface the operator will be able independently to create products based on IVR, the SMS, USSD and other technologies. Everything that is required for VAS Creation Stack after implementation — the minimum technical support and periodic updating of modules for creation and start of products.
