2019

The media solution for promotion of hotels in Sabre Global Distribution System

On November 14, 2019 the Sabre Corporation company announced expansion of an opportunity for promotion of hotels in agency community within start of the solution Content Services for Lodging.

The media solution Sabre for hotels will help agents to find more suitable options of housing by means of GDS (Global Distribution System), proceeding from personal preferences of travelers. Search will be performed by the name of the city, the code of the airport, the city code, sights, the geographic location, the preferable area and conveniences in hotel. During implementation which, as expected, will begin in the second half of 2020 will be available to all customers of media solutions of Sabre as the current Hotel Spotlight tool to promotion of hotels in GDS, and the released technological solution that will provide the additional customer value of Sabre.

Sabre also changes the sales channel and Hotel Spotlight service to simplify process of work for hotels. Since January, 2020 Sabre Hospitality Solutions will become the only supplier of Hotel Spotlight and its future version, and since July 1, 2020 – provider of technical support for this tool. Hotels which want to take advantage of promotion of products in Sabre GDS should reserve placement of the media content for 2020.

Sabre GDS is a valuable distribution channel and sales for service providers who want to have access to a global network of the agencies and highly profitable travelers, and Sabre Hotel Spotlight is especially effective, proved tool helping hotels to increase sales in the indirect channel. Start of Sabre Content Services for Lodging

On July 23, 2019 Sabre Corporation- the supplier of technologies for the world industry of tourism and travel, announced start of the solution Sabre Content Services for Lodging. It will expand possibilities of agency and corporate instruments of armoring thanks to integration of traditional hotel content of GDS and content of Booking.com, Bedsonline and Expedia Partner Solutions. It will allow agents to find even more simply options of housing and rates, suitable for travelers, having got on one screen access to more than to one million offers from different sources.

Resolving an issue of fragmentation of hotel content and the growing sales demand, Sabre Content Services for Lodging provides complete experience of purchases thanks to display of content at the level of the hotel room and a rate. The solution Sabre based on API will allow to increase efficiency and profitability of the agency, offering the expanded choice of options of housing and the improved opportunities for management of preferable content. Now the agencies can select offers of that aggregator to which they would like to get access.

Agreement with Booking.com

On August 07, 2018 it became known that Sabre Corporation, the supplier of technologies for the industry of tourism and travel, signed the agreement with the Booking.com company providing to travelers a wide choice of options of accommodation. Thus, the travel agencies using Sabre will get access to all content of Booking.com, including alternative locations, using the developed solution Sabre Content Services for Lodging.

Official start of Sabre Content Services for Lodging is planned later in 2018. The solution will be available through Sabre API and also on the Sabre Red Workspace platform and in the products GetThere and TripCase. It is designed to increase efficiency and profitability of players of the market due to a wide choice of options of placement and also to create additional opportunities for optimization that it is even better to manage distribution, property and rates.

Consolidation of hotel content of aggregators

The Sabre Corporation company, the supplier of technologies for the world industry of tourism and travel, announced on February 27, 2018 conclusion of an agreement with Bedsonline, TravelBound and Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) according to which content of aggregators will become available in the developed solution Sabre Content Services for Lodging. The product will integrate different sources of hotel content, optimizing distribution and sales and also raising customer satisfaction.

According to Sabre, demand of the industry for additional types of hotel rates and products grows, and the signed agreements, as expected, will provide the necessary volume of offers for users of GDS (a global distributor system) and buyers of tourist services. Bedsonline will provide more than 170 thousand options of placement in 120 countries, TravelBound — more than 50 thousand hotels and a scope in 190 countries, and EAN will open access more than to 350 thousand to objects worldwide and more than 650 thousand to exclusive offers.

The solution will offer the optimized search mechanisms and the choice of hotel products due to data mapping on categories of numbers and rates and also convenient functionality of comparison of options on one screen.

The solution Sabre Content Services for Lodging will include possibilities of Sabre API and will be built in all products Sabre with function of sales: Sabre Red Workspace, GetThere and TripCase. As calculate in Sabre, it will allow to increase profitability of customers of services and suppliers of content due to expansion of the choice of options on placement and also will open opportunities for optimization of management of distribution, property and rates.

2017: Development

On October 31, 2017 Sabre Corporation, the supplier of technologies for the world industry of tourism and travel, announced development of the technological solution Sabre Content Services for Lodging which is designed to integrate different sources of hotel content: the global distributive Sabre (GDS) system and not connected about GDS channels, including aggregators, intermediaries, the agency and others. The solution will also be proposed by complex data mapping, creating essentially a different way of implementation of tourist services. The product is planned to start in 2018.

According to representatives of the company, development of Content Services for Lodging is dictated by the growing demand of buyers for various hotel content, including information on subjects to placement, products, conveniences and rates, and Sabre aims to provide to clients the flexible solution meeting their requirements. Thanks to it buyers and consumers of content of GDS will get access to bigger number of options and will be able to use the optimized search mechanisms and the choice of products on the basis of data mapping on categories of numbers and rates.

The announced solution will include possibilities of Sabre API and is integrated into all products Sabre with function of sales: Sabre Red Workspace, GetThere and TripCase.
