In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky the electronic payment system of travel by public transport is started. On November 1, 2017 reported about it in the CFT Group.

The possibility of cashless payment of journey is implemented Sberbank, payment systems "Zolotaya Korona" and Mastercard, by the Uniform operator of the transport system of Elektronny mir LLC with support Ministry of Transport of Kamchatka Krai and City administration.

Within the project on all public transport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky the advanced methods of cashless payment of journey are implemented: using proximity bank cards of international payment systems, smartphones and other mobile devices with support of services of mobile payments and also electronic transport cards.

Terminals of Sberbank equip 200 buses along all city routes. Further to a system it is going to connect also suburban transport of Kamchatka Krai.

It is simple and safe to pay driving through contactless technology — to passengers enough one contact with the proximity bank card or other contactless device — a charm, a sticker, the smartphone, etc. to the terminal which is at the driver. Journey payment by the bank card does not require input of the PIN code or waiting — transaction is made quickly.

Implementation of this project — further work of bank on creation of the comfortable urban environment. And it is convenient not only to card owners, but also carriers. Transport companies have an opportunity to reduce operating expenses, to increase service quality, to integrate several types of public transport in need of a single system — the head of the Kamchatka department of PJSC Sberbank Sergey Latyshev emphasized.

In general the project will be implemented in several stages that residents with comfort mastered the appeared opportunities. In the beginning it is going to organize acceptance on transport of proximity bank cards and also journey payment accounting for cash of means with obligatory issue of the ticket.

Further it is going to enter transport cards — an electronic analog of the region of All-civil travel card, popular with inhabitants, who it is possible to purchase in all departments of FGUP Russian Post. Purchasing such card, inhabitants or city visitors acquire the right to journey during calendar month (since a month, the first on the last day) in public transport. On the All-civil Travel Card transport card its owner can make up to 15 trips within a day. The transport card can be filled up in any department and terminal infrastructure of Sberbank: ATMs, information payment terminals and also in Sberbank Online service in the territory of Kamchatka Krai.
