E-Fuso Vision One (electrotruck)

At the Tokyo motor show (on October 27 — on November 5, 2017) the Daimler concern releasing cars under the name of Mercedes-Benz presented the electric car of big loading capacity E-Fuso Vision One which has a course stock, very high for the class.

The innovation which received the name E-Fuso Vision One is developed together with "subsidiary" of Daimler — Japanese Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) which is engaged in release of lorries and buses under the Mitsubishi brand.

E-Fuso Vision One electrotruck

The truck which permitted maximum mass reaches 23 tons is capable to transport loads weighing up to 11 tons that is only 2 tons less in comparison with motor transport with diesel units.

Forms of the truck are most maleficiated. The fairing over a cabin smoothly passes into a body roof. Side mirrors are absent (their function will be performed by cameras), and back wheels are covered with guards. The producer told a little about technical capabilities.

E-Fuso Vision One electrotruck

E-Fuso Vision One is allocated with rechargeable batteries in total capacitance up to 300 kW · h which allow the truck to go without recharge up to 350 km. Thus, the truck will be able to be used for cargo transportation not only in the city, but also between the neighboring regions.

By the time of the announcement of Mitsubishi E-Fuso Vision One the project is a prototype. Daimler is going to start sales of the serial version of the electric truck by 2020. It is noted that the model produced on mass market can have a changed design and the improved characteristics.

With the presentation of the electric tractor the Daimler concern managed to outstrip Tesla company which was going to show the Semi model at the end of October, 2017, but postponed the announcement to November. According to unofficial data, the electric vehicle Tesla Semi will receive an auto pilot and will receive a course stock in 300-500 km.[1]
