"Project Practice" instructed users of a management system for project activity of administration of Yakutia

The Project Practice group announced on November 10, 2017 carrying out training for heads and specialists of structural divisions of administration of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in work in automated information system of management of project activity of executive bodies of the government. Training at places was provided by experts of developer company Project Practice.

Prerequisites

On July 7, 2016 the head of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Egor Borisov signed the order about transition to project management in executive authorities. Creation of the state information management system project activity is a part of this order.

It is expected that the state information management system project activity of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic based on a product PM Foresight will become the effective platform of interaction of participants of commands of projects, for the purpose of ensuring technology support of processes of initiation, planning, collecting of the reporting and monitoring of execution of projects

As of November, 2017, a system is in a stage of trial operation, start in commercial operation is planned for the beginning of December, 2017.

Project Progress

Training in work took place in an information system in 3 stages. On the first — technical and functional features of work of the IT platform were mastered by functional administrators, on the second — possibilities of electronic control were individually presented by projects to members of the Central project committee, the survey work seminar in the adapted system was also listened by the government employees involved in project activity of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.

System operation results

During instructing the results achieved for the period adaptation of a system were mentioned.

Since launch of a system there passed 4 months, during this time we managed to carry out such high-quality changes how to finish functionality of a system according to requirements of normative and procedural documentation on project management in executive bodies of the government of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic and also to consider federal methodical recommendations about management of priority projects. IT solution is built on modularity and allows to apply necessary project solutions in response to requirements of the Central project office — the project manager of Proyektnaya praktika Group Dmitry Pudov instructing government employees told.

Project Results

As the Head of Department of project management of Administration of the Head and the Government of Yakutia Roman Solodukhin noted, some of key representatives of the ministries, departments and subordinated organizations underwent instructing in use of a project management information system. Interest in it exceeded all our expectations. I thank colleagues for high motivation and a spirit to changes, to work on result. Ahead of us work in this system on significant and interesting projects waits. Last instructing is an important milestone in development of project management which will make us more effective.
