Olympus EyeTrek Insight EI-10 (the device for creation of smart points)

2017: Announcement

In November, 2017 Olympus provided the gadget allowing to make "smart" any points. The device under the name Olympus EyeTrek Insight EI-10 is focused on use in the companies and at the enterprises.

Unlike Google Glass in which the camera and the display are built in in a frame Olympus EyeTrek Insight EI-10 has the fastening mechanism allowing to integrate easily a system with any prescription or goggles.

The patented Olympus technology which found application in a new product of the company provides to users of smart points access to the screen, without blocking a viewing field, and to information, when necessary, without interruption of the activity.

The technical component of innovation looks on the most modern. Here released six years before the processor of Texas Instruments of OMAP 4470, 1 of Gbytes of operational and 8 Gbytes of a fixed memory (4 Gbytes are already used for OS), the OLED display with the small permission (  640 x 400 pixels) and the camera only with a 2.4-megapixel array which is capable to create photos and videos with the resolution up to 1992 x 1216 points.

The Android 4.2.2 operating system which entered the market in 2012 is responsible for a program part "net" (without additional applications and settings). Battery life reaches 60 minutes, but can be twice less depending on operating conditions and intensity of use of the device. Capacity of the rechargeable battery is 300 mAh.

The gadget weighing 66 grams is also supplied  with the sensor of magnetic field, the microphone and modules of wireless communication  Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n.

The beginning of sales of Olympus EyeTrek Insight EI-10 is planned for November, 2017. Product cost — $1500. It is going to be extended through the official site of the producer and some partner retail networks.^[1]
