Conscience has integrated Smart IDReader into its mobile agent application

Conscience (the first installment card) - a fintech project of the Qiwi group - integrated a client document recognition module developed by Smart Engines into a mobile application for its sales agents. Smart IDReader technology is used for scanning and automatic filling of passport data when issuing cards of interest-free installments "Conscience." It takes a matter of seconds to recognize the document, Smart Engines reported on November 17, 2017.

Prerequisites

The mobile agency application "Conscience" is designed to issue installment cards to customers. At a meeting with the future cardholder, the agent must verify the correctness of the user's passport data and quickly confirm them in the mobile application in order to transfer the issued card to the client.

Project Progress

The work on integrating the Smart IDReader recognition library into the agent mobile application was carried out independently by IT specialists of Conscience and the Qiwi group.

Project Outcome

To work in a mobile application, Conscience agents use corporate tablets ones on the base. Smart Android IDReader technology is integrated into the application, it allows you to recognize passports of citizens of the Russian Federation in real time. To "extract" document data, just show it to the tablet camera for only a few seconds.

Document recognition on mobile devices using Smart IDReader takes place in the video stream autonomously on the device itself. Each frame received from the camera is treated as a separate image on which the document is searched and text data is recognized. The cross-frame integration of the recognition results is then performed.
