2017: Industrial equipment production to be expanded in Chelyabinsk

Emerson Corporation will increase the production capacity of its division in Russia. This was announced in March by David Farr, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors. According to him, anti-Russian economic sanctions did not affect the work of his company^[1] the^[2].

Emerson is already investing in Russian companies, working mainly with Chelyabinsk enterprises. The company is engaged in the automation of technical processes in the oil and gas and oil refining industries, as well as in other areas. The corporation plans to expand its practice in Russia, as the Russian oil and gas industry continues to develop and represents an attractive market for the company.

1992-2004

The Metran company was created in 1992 in the capital of the Southern Urals, Chelyabinsk. The group of specialists of the plant "Device" decided to create its own business. Thus, the scientific and production company Metran was born for the development, production and sale of pressure sensors in demand on the Russian industrial market.

The word "Metran" was formed from a combination of the English words MEasuring and TRANsmitter, which means "transmitter." The meaning of the name determined the constant search for their own solutions using the accumulated world experience.

The high concentration of efforts of qualified professional specialists allowed the industrial group to first actively work and offer its solutions in the power and housing and communal services, then in the oil and gas industry, in the metallurgical industries and gradually, step by step, in almost any technological process.

In 2004, the long-term cooperation of Emerson Process Management and PG Metran moved to a qualitatively new level. Emerson Process Management became an investor and strategic partner of PG Metran.

The company offers pressure sensors, temperature sensors, flow meters, metering systems, heat meters, level meters, metrological equipment, functional equipment, as well as components and systems based on them.
