"Transbaikal Privoz" was implemented by WMS

On November 27, 2017 the company In September, 2016 SOLVO company announced automation of a warehouse of distribution of Transbaikal Privoz company. The project implements the Solvo.WMS system.

Project Tasks

Due to the need of increase in capacities of a warehouse and the planned increase in warehouse spaces there was a problem of automation of a warehouse. Earlier the enterprise did not use a management system for warehouse logistics, all transactions were executed on paper carriers. It was required to reduce, first of all, the amount of paper document flow and to transfer it to an electronic form.

The company needed integration of a system from operating ERP "SUPERMAG". The tasks of implementation of address storage system of goods and ensuring shipment taking into account goods expiration dates are set (the principle of FEFO - goods with a smaller expiration date and early date of production are shipped first of all).

Based on the tender preference was given to the WMS system from SOLVO company.

Project Progress

The implementation team reviewed and configured a number of business processes, adjusted logistics and uniformity of deliveries. Configured exchange of documents between the WMS system and the stock count Supermag system. The operating procedure of each employee is regulated.

In August, 2016 the team of specialists "SOLVO" began deployment and setup of a system, marking of racks and zones, personnel training. Transfer of the first groups of goods under management of Solvo.WMS began.

The warehouse about 3 thousand m ² became object of implementation of the WMS system.

Project Results

The main warehouse goods are placed on 3-level frontal racks:

• grain,
• flour,
• sugar,
• tea,
• coffee,
• eggs
• other.

Work taking into account weight goods is automated.

As a result of Solvo.WMS system implementation in a warehouse technologies planned began to be applied and urgent replenishment under orders - the goods from cells of long storage (usually upper tiers) move to a selection zone - usually to the bottom levels that provides convenience and increase selection speed; replacement - goods moves to top levels of racks.

Main results of system implementation:

• Increase in speed and assembling accuracy of orders;
• Process automation of acceptance, movement and shipment of goods (the warehouse of the company is equipped with manual radio terminals of Datalogic Scorpio X3 company);
• Shipment of goods by the principle of FEFO;
• Increase in processing speed of returns from clients.
• Assembling accuracy grew many times.
• Speed of assembly of orders increased.
• Need of a recomplete set of pallets after assembly is minimized.
