Created in 1939, the Central Research Institute of Structural Materials "Promete" today is a multidisciplinary state unitary enterprise that fulfills orders from federal ministries, domestic and foreign enterprises of various industries. The Institute is engaged in the development of new materials, technologies for their production, methods of control, methods and means of their connection, diagnostics of structures for shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, nuclear and thermal power, production, transportation, cleaning and deep processing of oil and gas products.
