2017: GE Healthcare connects the equipment to a system

In December, 2017 GE Healthcare activated the latest version of the cloud Nuvolo Clinical EAM system which should manage more than 3 million medical devices in the USA and Canada.

According to the CEO of Nuvolo Tom Stanford, the foundation for a new method of information management was laid by a tendency to consolidation of medical care and obsolescence of the basic systems.

Having estimated a trend of several last years, you will understand that once you had 6000 suppliers of medical services, now their of everything 3500, and in several years will remain only to 2500 — Stanford says. — Each system is connected to a set of devices, and at emergence of cyberthreat it is necessary to find out what devices are connected to this system and in what their vulnerability for each specific attack is.
