The solutions GE Transportation will optimize work of the KTZh cargo locomotives

GE Transportation and JSC KTZh-Gruzovye perevozki announced in December, 2017 cooperation increase in a scope of the advanced digital solutions. Within the agreement JSC KTZh-Gruzovye perevozki purchases the digital GE system Trip Optimizer for equipment of the park of cargo engines of the TE33A series for the purpose of increase in efficiency of rail transportation in Kazakhstan.

This agreement is continuation of the memorandum of understanding signed in June, 2017 according to opportunities of application of the digital solutions GE for reduction of fuel expenses, optimization of energy consumption and improvement of operational security.

Trip Optimizer is an intelligent system which helps the driver to manage the locomotive due to automatic control of the controller and a dynamic brake. Analyzing data on a route and a load, the program in real time calculates the optimal high-speed mode and fuel consumption. Trip Optimizer already helped clients to pass over 400 million kilometers in the automatic mode and to save more than 550 million liters of fuel that is equivalent to weekly reduction of volume of emissions of CO2 on 10 thousand tons.
