2021: Requirements to "digital" equipment of schools are developed
In January, 2021 the Ministry of Public Education and Mintsifra submitted the draft of the order "About the approval of the Digital School standard which was developed in connection with carrying out an experiment on implementation of the digital educational medium (DEM).

The government reduces the budget by creation of digital educational medium
In the draft budget for 2021-2022 reduction of financing of the federal project "Digital Educational Medium" which is included into the Education national project is put. 2018: Transition to digital textbooks in Russia was estimated at 0.5 trillion rubles
In June, 2018 the Ministry of Public Education suggested to replace paper textbooks at schools with electronic. Expenses on implementation of this project estimated at 507.3 billion rubles.
