"The Moscow school of programmers" applied a blockchain to storage of the register of release certificates

On December 20, 2017 it became known of start of blockchain technology for the publication of release certificates at the Moscow School of Programmers (MSP).

Project Progress

Composition:

• smart contract,
• Ethereum-node for sending transactions and check of their status,
• the systems of the publication in EduApp (a corporate system of School of programmers)
• the page of verification of the certificate on the website.

Project Results

According to the management of school, this method it is possible to solve a problem of counterfeit of the diploma or its separate parts and to simplify process of work with diplomas of the third parties - universities, employers.

The documents and certificates which are stored in blockchain network cannot be forged. It is possible to check information in them in a public blockchain of Ethereum via the website etherscan.io or on the website of MShP. For this purpose it is enough to know a surname, a name and the graduate's middle name, the smart contract address from the website of MShP and the personal key printed in the original certificate and received by the graduate in electronic form. The register of certificates does not allow the third parties to forge the diploma, but allows to check the termination MShP fact with the consent of his graduate.
