Maxima Telecom starts Wi-Fi in buses of St. Petersburg

Maxima Telecom expands Wi-Fi-space of St. Petersburg and starts at the end of 2017 MT FREE network in buses of one of the largest commercial carriers "Third park".

Within the project with network it is going to provide all vehicle fleet — 1200 buses of commercial and social routes. Until the end of 2017 partners equip with free high-speed Wi-Fi of 200 vehicles, other buses will receive network in the first quarter 2018. Maxima Telecom will be engaged in monetization of free Wi-Fi on advertizing model and also will provide network with the system of identification and authorization. The equipment of network belongs to the partner of "The third park", BIG-HEADS of CITY company. Interaction Maxima Telecom and BIG-HEADS of CITY is based on model of separation of income from advertizing sale.

In October Maxima Telecom and the Committee on Transport of St. Petersburg signed the agreement on strategic partnership for formation of Uniform city Wi-Fi-space. All networks MT_FREE have a single system of identification and authorization. It allows users of Wi-fi not to undergo repeated registration in the subway to enter into network in land transport. Thus, more than 1.5 million Petersburgers who already use Wi-Fi in the subway can connect to the web in buses of "The third park" without identification.
