VTB started Garmin Pay for the clients

Holders of cards of retail business of VTB since December 27, 2017 had an opportunity to make transactions using Garmin Pay. This service allows to pay purchases using hours of Garmin Vivoactive 3, without physical presence of the bank card and the mobile phone. Technology project implementation together with VTB was provided by Multikarta company (enters into VTB Group).

To begin to use this method of carrying out payments, it is necessary to download the Garmin Connect application on the smartphone, to tie to it hours and to enter information on the card into a virtual wallet. Before payment of goods and services it is required to unlock hours, having entered the password, and then to bring them to the terminal. After introduction of the PIN code it is necessary to select the card from a virtual wallet and to lay a hand to the POS terminal.

Experts of VTB noted high safety of service: when carrying out payment of Garmin Pay uses numbers and codes which are specially created for each device. At the same time data of the bank card of the client are not stored neither on hours, nor on servers of Garmin and not transferred to the third parties.

Estimate possibilities of service card owners of payment system have an opportunity MasterCard and Visa. Garmin Pay is provided on a free basis. At payment of purchases the additional fee is also not charged. At the same time all bonuses (a cashback, miles, etc.) are charged in a complete size, as if you pay with the normal card.

The Garmin Pay service is especially relevant for athletes and tourists — for example, it is possible to have breakfast after jog with a cashback to 10% on Multikarta without purse and phone now — Yulia Demenyuk, the deputy manager of department of retail products of VTB said.
