2017: Announcement

In December, 2017 the car maker Mini started service in an individual design of cars by means of 3D - printing. Using service under the name Mini Yours Customised buyers new or owners of earlier purchased machines can select the picture for door projectors, patterns on side pads and thresholds and also the central console.

In addition to 3D - printings, the personalized decorative elements can be created by means of a laser engraving which is also provided in the program.

In a special online configurator clients can change style of a necessary part, the wide list of settings is provided. Besides, there is an opportunity to create the texts on parts and at the same time to use the handwriting.

For example, it is possible it is possible steel pads of door thresholds with a laser engraving of the name written with own hand. The same or other text will be highlighted on the earth by door illumination for what the special lens is inserted into a svetoelement.

Setup of design is performed through the special section on the website of the producer. The parameters set in this configurator are transferred to the BMW plant in Germany where necessary parts are made within several weeks. Afterwards these accessories can be set independently or to use services of the dealer centers Mini.

The cost of personalisation transport means depends on the choice of elements of an external and internal decor from the offered options and also on use of an option of creation of the unique elements. For example, in Europe couple of special bulbs of illumination set within Mini Yours Customised will cost 40 euros, and an insert in the front panel with the exclusive drawing — 140 euros.

The Mini Yours Customised service will be available to old and new models of the brand, since 2018.^[1]
