Lokotekh signed the contract for repair of locomotives worth 244 billion rubles with the Russian Railway.

The Lokotekh group and the Russian Railway at the beginning of January, 2018 signed the contract for repair of the traction rolling stock for total amount of 243.9 billion rubles (including the VAT) for up to 2022. Works will be carried out by Zheldorremmash.

Project Tasks

Within the signed document about 14.8 thousand sections of locomotives are going to execute repair. Including 46.5 billion rubles will be directed to replacement of nodes and units with the expired service life.

The purpose of signing of the contract — maintenance of proper technical condition of the locomotive park of JSC RZD and also accomplishment of the set volumes of the program of repair of locomotives according to the long-term program of development of Russian Railways.

Signature of this agreement is very important for us and will allow to calculate resources and to implement long-term investment planning. We are going to direct over 10 billion rubles to upgrade of capacities of the Zheldorremmash plants, from them in 2017 about 1.2 billion rubles are already selected. It means quality improvement of repair and reliability of the traction rolling stock for the customer — the CEO Lokotekh Yury Degtyarev noted.
