VidiStar — software developer for viewing medical images and creation of the structured reporting. Technologies of the company help doctors to browse and analyze the diagnostic testings transmitted on local networks or through the Internet for timely interpretation of results and improvement of diagnostics of patients. Software of VidiStar allows to increase efficiency of health care, to improve mobility of services and communications among health workers.

2018: Hitachi buys VidiStar

On January 10, 2018 Hitachi Healthcare Americas Corporation, Hitachi subsidiary company and the leading supplier of the medical equipment, announced VidiStar acquisition. The cost of the transaction does not reveal.

Hitachi expects that acquisition of VidiStar will help the Japanese company to progress in the field of information and analytical technologies for the purpose of improvement of workflow of doctors.

VidiStar is sold to Hitachi company

The senior vice president of Hitachi Healthcare Americas William Burns notes that VidiStar developed the application for the overview and the analysis of results of the diagnostic testings which are stored on cloud servers and also the application for structuring the reporting and support system of adoption of medical solutions. With VidiStar doctors will be able to estimate results of visualization researches on the Internet and timely to report results to other medical specialists.

The structured reporting will help to standardize clinical reports and to increase their quality and also will simplify communication between health workers, having at the same time reduced the frequency of errors. Data analysis will help to reveal the key factors influencing the cost of services and will provide adequate knowledge of health workers.

After closing of the transaction of VidiStar and its employees will join Hitachi Healthcare Americas. The headquarters of VidiStar will remain in the American Greenville, South Carolina.[1]
