Volkswagen and Nvidia equip with artificial intelligence future line of the VW cars

The companies announced at the beginning of 2018 that VW I.D. Buzz model 2022 will use NVIDIA DRIVE IX technologies for ensuring functionality of copilot based on AI. The I.D. Buzz model is a reincarnation of VW MicroBus, the electric car with AI opportunities for the meter panel and autopiloting. The model enters into the I.D. family which will lay the foundation for electric vehicles and will allow to make soft junction on autonomous driving in 2020. By 2025 VW is going to provide more than 20 electric vehicles.

Using DRIVE IX technologies the VW I.D. Buzz model will be equipped with applications for functionality of copilot, including the systems of assistance to the driver based on the data collected from sensors in and outside of the car. Systems will be improved during all service life of the car using program updates and to have new opportunities in process of development of the industry of autonomous driving. Thanks to technologies of deep learning, the car of the future will learn to assess precisely situations on the road and to analyze behavior of other participants to make the correct decisions.
