In January, 2018 it became known that the Chinese company Baidu owning of the same name the Internet search engine, largest in China, started own platform for the offer a blockchain services.

The open Baidu Trust platform based on developments of Baidu offers a blockchain service with the user-friendly interface. According to information uploaded to the website of the company, the decision allows to pass and monitor transactions and it can be applied to the most different purposes, including transactions with cryptocurrency, online payments, opening of a credit line and other transactions with bank accounts, financial audit of insurance companies, etc.

Baidu started the platform for rendering a blockchain services

Representatives of Baidu say that the technology is already applied to trade and security of assets. In particular, it is used for creation of "the China's first securities provided with assets and working with use of a blockchain". Baidu became the second ambassador of Tencent the Chinese company which started own packet a blockchain services.

In April, 2017 Tencent announced that it is going to use the TrustSQL platform for rendering services in digital control by assets, to authentication and deployment of transactions of sharing of assets with several companies.

In spite of the fact that Baidu lags behind competitors in the field of development of blockchain technologies a little, the company one of the first began to use bitcoin. In October, 2013 the company stated that it began to accept cryptocurrency as payment of services of Jiasule providing cyber security, fall forward of work and performance of websites.

The company showed the interest in the field of a blockchain services also in October, 2017 when it joined blockchain consortium Hyperledger. Then the Baidu company received the status the participating prime minister.^[1]
