In January, 2018 Colgate put on the market the "smart" Smart Electronic Toothbrush E1 toothbrush with support of iPhone. The device went on sale and will be on sale only in Apple shops.
It is possible for Colgate of Smart Electronic Toothbrush E1 in the wireless way (on Bluetooth) to connect to smartphones or the Apple Watch smartwatch thanks to the Colgate Connect application in which are displaid "the card of an oral cavity" and the recommendation about the correct care of teeth habits of the user are traced and hints to it what sections remained untouched are displayed.
The brush collects data even in the absence of connection with the IOS-DEVICE — information is synchronized after connection. The battery life of the gadget is stated at the level of 10 days.
The toothbrush is capable to create "sound vibrations" for more effective removal of a raid. For children the game Go Pirate which motivates them longer is provided to brush teeth and to collect coins. Besides, using the family mode it is possible to trace whether the child cleaned teeth and how carefully.
Colgate of Smart Electronic Toothbrush E1 is available to purchase on the website of Apple in the section "IPhone accessories". The cost of a product is $99. It is in addition possible to purchase replaceable nozzles which cost $19 for a set from five pieces.
According to the The Verge IT portal, the model of Colgate Smart Electronic Toothbrush E1 is similar to the Kolibree Ara toothbrush provided in 2017 which costs for $30, but supports work not only with iOS - but also Android devices.
"Smart" toothbrushes were developed also by other producers. Among them — Oral-B company, Philips and Xiaomi. Gadgets have similar functionality: they contain the motion sensor and can be connected to mobile devices.[1]
