Xerox Remote Connect is the software solution allowing the authorized partners of Xerox to manage far off the printing equipment of clients.

2018: Launching

The Xerox company announced on January 23, 2018 start program the solution Remote Connect which will allow the authorized partners of the company to manage the printing equipment of clients far off. The software simplifies collecting of statistics, service and administration of devices and helps to plan purchase of supplies more precisely.

Using Remote Connect of which work Internet of Things (Internet of Things) is the cornerstone clients will be able to increase service life of printing devices due to their remote technical support and diagnostics. At the same time, thanks to use of this tool partners of Xerox will be able to increase profitability of the business as it will allow them to service far off printers and the MFP and to spend less time for departures of service specialists.

Remote Connect automates collecting of statistics about operation of devices and orders of supplies therefore clients do not need to trace a status of the park of the printing equipment independently any more. Using data which are transferred by Remote Connect, partners of Xerox can deliver supplies to clients then when they are necessary. It allows to store less cartridges in a warehouse and to avoid excess purchases.

Also the software allows partners of Xerox to calculate far off the cost of services, making a start from exact data on operation of printing devices, but not from approximate assessment of volumes of printing.
