MSK-IX scales peer-to-peer infrastructure based on the solution Coriant

The Coriant corporation, the supplier package optical, IP- and SDN solutions for global service providers of Level 1 and Internetoperators of web level, in January, 2018 announced that the MSK-IX company, the Russian provider of services of internetwork exchange of traffic (Internet Exchange, IX), stopped the choice on the network platform of disaggregation Coriant Groove G30 for highly profitable scaling of own peer-to-peer infrastructure and performance improvement of high-speed communication services, including services 100G.

The MSK-IX company selected the solution Coriant Groove G30 taking into account its such characteristics as: the ultrahigh density, low power consumption, flexibility of configuring and modularity in process of scaling.

The network platform of disaggregation Coriant Groove G30 in general represents modular (1RU) the open transport solution intended for ensuring programmable, high-speed and safe bandwidth capable to meet the growing demand for capacity mobile, video, IoT and cloud applicaions. The platform can be delivered as the muksponderny terminal solution and as the solution of optical level — an open linear system (Open Line System, OLS). Open API interfaces provide rapid implementation and easy integration of the platform in infrastructure of any provider of services of IXP, a data processing center or in an operational telecommunication environment.

MSK-IX provides the neutral platform of exchange of traffic more than for 500 organizations, including to the international companies working in Russia. The company owns the failsafe peer-to-peer platform connecting 10 cities. The Coriant Groove G30 platform will be unrolled on the backbone network of MSK-IX that will allow to scale easily capacity and to propose more flexible client solutions, meeting the growing demand for internal and international services of data exchange, including service of connection of data processing centers (Data Center Interconnect, DCI).
