History

2023: Investment of 2.6 billion rubles in the expansion of production

Chinese yeast producer Angel Yeast will invest 2.6 billion rubles in a Russian plant. This was announced on January 19, 2023 by Igor Artamonov, governor of the Lipetsk region, in which the enterprise is located.

According to him, Angel East Rus is creating two workshops, by the end of 2023 new lines should be put into operation. It is planned to launch a yeast production line, a packaging line and a storage area in order to increase production by 2 thousand tons in terms of dry yeast.

Artamonov said that by January 2023, more than 500 people work at the plant, 100 more jobs will be created. According to him, the company also intends to build a plant for deep processing of grain, which is an urgent task for the Lipetsk region, so the regional authorities will support the new project.

We have already changed the training strategy in our educational institutions, we are trying to train specialists in demand in modern industries, we offer retraining. And of course, people are waiting for a good salary, we will talk about this with our Chinese colleagues, - Igor Artamonov emphasized.

In the government of the Lipetsk region, Angel East Rus LLC is called the largest producer of dry yeast in Russia. Production is almost completely automated. The first stage of the enterprise opened in February 2019, the volume of investments amounted to about 7 billion rubles. By January 2023, the plant has seven production lines with a capacity of over 50 tons of dry yeast and more than 20 tons pressed per day.

Angel Yeast is the world's largest dry yeast company, its production volume is 25 thousand tons of products per year. The company includes 10 factories and more than 30 representative offices in different cities of China (as of January 2023).^[1]
