Navicon localized the ERP system for the Russian office Smith&Nephew

In February, 2018 it became known that the system integrator and Navicon developer carried out adaptation of the implemented ERP solution of global office of the producer of the medical products Smith&Nephew for the Russian office — "Smith of Enda Nefiou". According to the results of project implementation the producer of medical products received the automated accounting system in which it can keep parallel accounting, tax and managerial account on the European IFRS and on the Russian RAS to standards.

Project Tasks

For compliance to global requirements of the company, unification of key business processes and automation of collecting of the local reporting by Smith&Nephew corporation the decision in 2017 to implement the global system of integrated management of resources of the enterprise (ERP) in Russia was made.

Project Progress

Together with global development team Smith&Nephew in Russia the Navicon system integrator having extensive examination in the field of automation of pharmaceutical and other productions was engaged in project implementation. The task to carry out adaptation of the implemented ERP solution to requirements of the Russian legislation and industry standards was set for the local IT partner.

We selected Navicon company for adaptation of the ERP system from Russia, in view of examination, experience in maintaining complex international projects on implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX and also positive reviews of other clients. The project needed to be implemented in short terms while the functionality of the implemented solution was difficult and requiring special approach, for example, in the field of conducting parallel accounting. The Navicon command proved to be as competent and experienced specialists, having carried out all scheduled tasks and having resolved all issues which arose during the project, in time. In many respects it worked well thanks to the fact that the command of integrator worked in close cooperation with a project team Smith&Nephew — Nikolay Shiparov, the project manager Smith&Nephew told.

Result

According to the results of the project at the Russian office of the producer in 8 months information ERP system which as a result of adaptation allows to keep parallel account according to requirements of the Russian legislation of RAS (to standards of the Russian accounting – RAS) and to the international standards IFRS was implemented.

In addition, adaptation of the ERP solution allowed to optimize management of commodity import and work with client orders.

Despite considerable adaptation of initial global solution to features of the Russian market, it was finished with the minimum influence on logic of "core" of a global ERP system, specified in Navicon.

Upon completion of the project about 100 employees of Smith of Enda Nefiou company use a system. In further Navicon will support local solution on a permanent basis.
