History
2015-2016
In 2015-2016 academic year are open: laboratory of phytochemistry within implementation of the scientific project "Identification of Essential Oils from the Higher Vascular Plants of East Kazakhstan", the sciences of MON of the Republic of Kazakhstan financed by Committee; center of development of scientific research of students and young scientists.
The structure of the university (since 2015) includes: 4 faculties (faculty of natural sciences, mathematics, physics and technologies; faculty of economy and right; faculty of psychology, pedagogics and culture, faculty of history, philology and international relations) and 19 departments. About 45 specialties of a bachelor degree, 30 specialties of a magistracy and 3 specialties of doctoral studies study at 4 faculties. At the university more than 400 highly skilled teachers, from them - 19 doctors of science and more than 150 candidates of science and doctors of Phd work.
2014-2015
In 2014 - 2015 academic year are open: branch of Institute of history and ethnology of Ch. Valikhanov; courtroom; office of criminal and executive service; Ziyatker scientific and education center, the museum of formation of VKO, the center for implementation of the International G-Global project, for the purpose of implementation of the International G-Global project and Social movement for energy of the future of "G-Global-EXPO-2017".
2013-2014
In 2013-2014 academic year are open: Research Center Altaytanu; NOTs "Nazarbayevtanu"; center of the Russian science and culture; center of student's initiatives; creative laboratory of a name of the academician Zacky Akhmetov within the actions dated for the celebration of the 85 anniversary since the birth of the honored scientist-literary critic, the winner of the State award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the academician of NAN of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Doctor of Philology Zacky Akhmetov.
2009
In September, 2009 the university is included by the decision of Board of Observatory in number 600 of the world university leaders who integrated around the Great Charter of the universities for implementation of the principles of the Bologna agreement.
2003
In October, 2003 the Government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan appropriates a name of Sarsen Amanzholov – the scientist, the linguist-turcologist.
1991
In 1991 the Ust-Kamenogorsk teacher training college was transformed to the East Kazakhstan state university and became the third university in Kazakhstan – the age-mate of the sovereign state.
1952: Creation of the company
