Marcel is the system designed to transform a method of communication, interaction and joint work of employees and clients of the company.

2018: Development start

The international media group Publicis Groupe and corporation Microsoft in February, 2018 announced the beginning of work on creation of the innovation Marcel platform based on artificial intelligence and cognitive services.

It is planned that Marcel:

• Will define optimal schemes of interaction for 80 thousand employees of Publicis Groupe and will help to find contact in the necessary division of media group for the solution of specific business challenges.
• Will allow employees to use the cumulative knowledge accumulated in the company.
• Will give the chance to each worker more to participate in life of the company.

Microsoft will create the platform and will connect it to the high technologies based on Microsoft Azure AI and Office 365. In return, Publicis.Sapient, technology and consulting division of Publicis Groupe, is responsible for architecture and design of the Marcel platform and also will design the user interface.

Using M-Labs, an incubator for the platform, Publicis Groupe tested new models of cooperation thanks to which the staff of the company from the different countries can be engaged in one project. Participation of staff of the Spanish agency Wysiwyg in development of the creative platform for Walmart became the first success.
