In the St. Petersburg academic philharmonic hall of D.D. Shostakovich Ecler equipment for creation of a system of the distributed sounding is installed

On February 15, 2018 the AUVIX company announced installation in the St. Petersburg academic philharmonic hall of D.D. Shostakovich of the equipment Ecler for creation of a system of the distributed sounding in choruses and promenuara of the Big hall of philharmonic hall.

Prerequisites of the Project

The big hall of the St. Petersburg academic Philharmonic hall occupies the space about 2000 sq.m. Hall capacity – 1500 people who are located on 2 tiers: in orchestra seats, an amphitheater and balconies with numerous beds and choruses. The hall function meant the high requirements imposed to a sound hardware for providing listeners with faultless sounding regardless of the place of their stay in the hall.

Project Tasks

Creation of ideal acoustics for musical performances and also the system of scoring for holding themed nights was the main goal facing the company.

Proceeding from it, creation of the systems of the distributed sounding, localizations of a source of a sound on the stage and ensuring the maximum legibility of sounding became project tasks. Except high sound characteristics, from the equipment obscurity of installation was required.

Project Progress

After careful inspection of the hall, to the customer the solution taking into account its acoustic characteristics was proposed. For implementation of the solution the Ecler NEST106 speaker system supporting thin setup of a sound (100 pieces) as loudspeakers was delivered.

The building of the Big hall of the St. Petersburg academic Philharmonic hall is in the list of the protected architectural objects with respect thereto to change of its appearance increased requirements are made. One of the main requirements was obscurity of sources of a sound and impossibility of their localization.

Project Results

High product characteristics of ECLER allowed to implement the project and to create the speaker system with the high level of the sound quality corresponding to prestige of the Big hall of philharmonic hall. Specialists of AUVIX provided necessary technical advices at selection of the equipment and provided timely delivery for project implementation.
