In Moscow the pilot with participation of Servionika on monitoring of city spaces started

In February, 2018 it became known that Servionica company (AiTeco) Became One of Winners of the Program Otkrytye zaprosy Group with the solution for ensuring monitoring of the movement of pedestrians and cyclists of the capital "Videomonitoring of use of pedestrian zones and bicycle tracks of Moscow". During 2018 Servionica will carry out a pilot project on streets of Moscow on testing of the complete solution based on technologies of computer vision and analytics of Big Data.

Project Tasks

According to TsODD, in the central part of Moscow there are about 8 km of the pedestrian zones completely free from traffic, and about 30 km of well-planned streets with the increased sidewalks comfortable for pedestrians; in parks and on a street road network 210 km of bicycle tracks are constructed. For effective management of these objects it is necessary to receive and digitize reliable data about the number of pedestrians and cyclists, their movements on different sections of sidewalks and the carriageway. Besides, it is important to set whether pedestrians and cyclists reuse the studied section in what places pass the carriageway, to keep track of load of routes and speed of traffic flows.

It is supposed that the system developed by Servionika together with VideoMatrix company will allow to collect and to quickly analyze data on the speed of traffic flows and traffic congestion.

Choosing a Solution

The commission of experts into which representatives of GKU TSODD and Moscow Department of Transport entered selected the solution of Servionika as one of the projects which are most conforming to requirements and focused on fast adaptation to the urban environment.

The relevance of the open request which is carried out together with the Center of the organization of traffic is caused by development of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. Since 2012 in Moscow projects on development of the pedestrian and bicycle movement are actively performed: there are new pedestrian zones and bicycle routes, pedestrian communications improve, the city becomes more comfortable and more available to pedestrians and cyclists. The solution of Servionica company was selected by one of winners of an open request and will pass pilot test in the real urban environment for efficiency evaluation — Olga Kuzmina, the program manager "Open requests" of the Agency of innovations of Moscow noted.

The pilot project will show as far as the solution of Servionika considers features of the area, different types of observed objects, their trajectories, quantity and recurrence and also will allow to find out whether affect image quality of change of lighting and weather conditions.

Project Progress

During piloting the functionality of the solution on creation of "thermal cards" of trajectories and speeds of observed objects, to modeling of the actual and probabilistic charts of objects and repetitions, operational preparation of necessary reports will be tested.

The solution will be implemented on the hardware-software platform using Vmx Platform Business CAP, server capacities for receiving and the processing of a video flow and the virtualization platform allowing to increase dynamically power and quickly to manage use of resources.
