Rostelecom will create "the smart city" in Vladikavkaz

Rostelecom the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania implements a pilot project on creation of the smart city in Vladikavkaz. The tripartite agreement about it within the Russian investment forum in Sochi in February, 2018 was signed by M.E. Oseevsky, the President of PJSC Rostelecom, V.Z. Bitarov, the Head of the Republic Northern Ossetia-Alania and B.H. Albegov, died the cities of Vladikavkaz.

The signed agreement expresses intentions of the parties to interact for development of offers on creation and implementation of a pilot project the smart city in Vladikavkaz, determinations of its stages and the analysis of the required amounts of financing. The parties will carry out audit of the existing level of development of informatization of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the city of Vladikavkaz, will define the first-priority directions of development and basic elements of the smart city for implementation within the project. Project participants will also define target indicators and criteria of achievement of the desirable level of development of territories, mechanisms of assessment and control over the project course. During creation of the smart city in Vladikavkaz, the parties will develop approaches to transformation of information and communication infrastructure of the Republic.

The project of the smart city in Vladikavkaz is further work of Rostelecom on program implementation Digital Economy. Implementation of technologies of the smart city allows to increase significantly effective management of city resources that positively affects investment attractiveness of the cities. The smart cities are points of growth of digital economy and the centers of gravity of qualified personnel which creation will promote quality improvement of life in regions.
