Angstrem executed ROC on creation of 95 types of power transistors

The Angstrem company in February, 2018 announced development of 95 types of power transistors of average and big power during implementation of developmental work Force-I8. According to the company, products replace more than 1000 foreign analogs. Work was performed on a task of Minpromtorg within the state program of import substitution. Angstrem is already ready to take orders for serial production and shipment of transistors.

Tasks of ROC

In 2015 Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia announced a number of competitions on accomplishment of the developmental works (DW) within the state program "Development of the industry and increase in its competitiveness". Work Force-I8 which assumed creation of 95 types of multipurpose transistors became the most large-scale OKROM. Specialists of Angstrem should develop the whole series of powerful high-speed n-and p-of the channel MOS (threw-oxide-semiconductor) of transistors in metalplastic and hermetic ceramic-metal packages which had to replace import analogs.

Results of ROC

In December, 2017 the customer was handed over all products provided by a task:

• n-channel transistors in the metalplastic body are closed by a row from 30 V to 1500 V;
• p-channel transistors in the metalplastic body from-30 V to-200 V;
• n-channel transistors in the ceramic-metal body from 30 V to 900 V;
• p-channel transistors in the ceramic-metal body from-30 V to-200 V.

Transistors are executed on three technologies: Low Charge, Trench and Low Charge Space.

According to the statement of Angstrem, the scope of transistors is so wide that allows to speak about large-scale replacement of foreign EKB: systems of automatic equipment, management system of electronic drives, drivers, switches, power sources. One of the most perspective fields of use of transistors are management systems of the motor transport, including electric and robotic.

It was very complex work. During a short time frame we should develop, release test samples, and then to hand over nearly hundred products to the customer. We coped that speaks about our opportunity further to create and release modern electronic component parts for the domestic industry. We are ready to replace import power electronics on the railroads, in housing and public utilities and in automotive industry already now — the director of the center of microelectronics — the chief designer Angstrem Pavel Mashevich noted.

Along with OKROM Force-I8 in 2015 Angstrem won the right to perform two more works: "Force-14" (it is handed over in 2017) and "Force-16" (commissioning is scheduled for 2018).
