2018: Announcement

At the end of February, 2018 the Cisco company provided a portfolio of Now services 5G for service providers. According to representatives of Cisco, services 5G will be characterized by significantly bigger speed increased by the capacity and an expanded covering — as they should service networks of service providers to which, according to forecasts, by 2021 more than 27 billion devices will be connected. According to forecasts of experts, since 2020 rapid growth of connections of a 5G will begin, and from 2.3 million their number will grow more than is tenfold, having exceeded 25 million in 2021.

Cisco sees the task in showing to service providers and mobile operators why it is important to consider technologies 5G when planning and that they will be able really to make with their help. In general the company focused on three directions:

• Services. Planning for new services 5G which Cisco will help to provide.
• Infrastructure. The choice of this or that infrastructure according to requirements.
• Automation. Simplification of control, implementation and information security support of mass scaling of networks for technologies 5G.
