HID Location Services allows the organizations to define location of the employees on an object, to carry out the analysis of use of premises and it is better to manage the building.

Updating of functionality

On June 6, 2018 it became known that the HID Global company provided the updated functionality of the solution HID Location Services. Now there is a possibility of optimization of jobs, security of employees in the building and also observance of requirements of regulators is facilitated and the efficiency increases.

The company added these functions for the HID Location Services portal to help the organizations better to understand who is in the building at any moment. On a uniform smart card convergent credentials for access control and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) the sensor for position fix are combined.

HID Location Services provides now the bigger number of reports and panels of monitoring which provide deeper and wide scope of the building. There was a possibility of instant determination of a total quantity of people in the building or on a certain floor. It allows clients, especially to the organizations which should follow occupational safeties and health regulations, most precisely define time of an input and exit of employees and visitors.

The solution also gives the chance to increase awareness on movements of visitors, allowing to learn where in the building there are guests one mouse click. Besides, archive information on where visitors and other employees were in the building, in case of emergency, violation of a security system or theft is provided.

Announcement

The HID Global company in March, 2018 presented the solution HID Location Services. The product is based on application of a system of Bluvision company which was purchased recently by HID, and designed to help the organizations to optimize work and a working space in "smart" buildings.

A system combines possibilities Bluetooth of the modules Low-Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi with opportunities cloud of technologies to provide convenience of using on the worker together and beyond his limits. Its cloud model and the minimum requirements to the equipment eliminate need for expensive installation of antennas, servers and wire infrastructure therefore the total operating costs decrease. Installation requires only connection of the gateways BLE/wi-fi with alternating current mains supply and providing smart cards to employees of sensors.

Using HID Location Services of the organization have an opportunity of the detailed analysis of exact location of the employees in a certain place (the modes "indoors" and "not indoors") and can quickly estimate use of a working space and operational efficiency of the building. The services constructed based on proximity technology allow to define finding of employees near a specific zone that it is convenient to apply at control of working time and attendance. The solution also allows the companies to observe requirements of health care and labor protection for the number of people indoors.
