On March 14, 2018 the Salesforce.com company announced the new software for the organization of sales and customer service. The CRM solution under the name Essentials is focused on small business. The eWeek edition calls this product in a line of the producer the first for small firms.

As the executive vice president of Salesforce Mike Rosenbaum explained to Reuters news agency, the Essentials applications are the simplified versions of the products Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud.

According to him, the Essentials programs will be on sale as products, completely ready to use, according to the SaaS model. Cost will be $25 counting on one user a month for groups to 10 people (it is possible to try free of charge the solution within a month). It is $50 cheaper in comparison with the professional CRM systems of Salesforce.

At the first stage Essentials includes two applications: Sales Cloud Essentials and Service Cloud Essentials. The first of them provides to the companies complete idea of their clients, including the history of activity, key contacts, a possibility of communication with clients and between the staff of the organization.

Through Service Cloud Essentials of the company can "instantly" develop technical support services, note in Salesforce. The application will help clients to offer more personalized service, provides evident idea of each customer interaction in uniform space and allows to solve quicker problems of customers who address by phone, e-mail or through social networks.

Respondents of Reuters of analytics and market participants doubt high demand on Essentials, explaining it with rather high cost of a product and lack of marketing functions.[1]
