Atos ProUST univerSAS is compact testing system of electronic components of satellites.
The solution is intended for optimization of mass production of satellites due to increase in speed and efficiency of testing.
Key characteristics:
- Compact construction of the body about 10 cm thick
- Universality — one device is capable to test 3 types of configurations of a power supply. Besides, it can process at the same time two tasks (for example, 50% of resources are spent for modeling of loading from solar batteries, and the remained 50% — for modeling of a power supply from accumulators)
- High power density — more than 16 kW with a height of body of 10 cm that more than by 8 times exceeds indicators of the existing systems of the similar size
- The small weight and portability — a possibility of convenient transfer in different zones of an assembly line, in other laboratories or on the launch pad
- Expense reduction — the minimum total cost of ownership
- The energy efficiency — energy returns to network, without turning into heat
2018: Release
The Atos company announced on March 22, 2018 release of testing system of the ProUST univerSAS satellites which entered into family of solutions for testing of electronic components of satellites — EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) providing uninterrupted operation of their work for all time spent for an orbit.
ProUST univerSAS differs in the compact sizes, at the same time provides power output more than 16 kW at a thickness of body only about 10 cm. The feature of development is that she is capable to test a number of different configurations of a power supply (modeling of operation of solar batteries, accumulators and modeling of loading of power supply system) whereas other solutions presented at the market can test only one type of a configuration, emphasized in Atos.
The ProUST univerSAS system allows to simplify large-lot production of satellites due to failure from manual assembly and transition to advanced technologies of check of systems. The small weight, compactness, universality and portability of the equipment will allow to reduce costs and to increase production efficiency due to reduction of terms of development and testing using only one device, claim in the company.
The ProUST univerSAS systems are already used within large projects of several customers. Deliveries of the solution are planned for the beginning of 2019.
