Corus Consulting and QUBData optimized the Efes Rus analytical applications

Corus Consulting Group announced on March 30, 2018 end together with QUBData integrator of the project on optimization of analytical applications on the QlikView platform of the Russian division of the international brewery Anadolu Efes.

We use a BI system on the QlikView platform for data analysis on sales and key indicators of efficiency of commercial function, however faced that the progressive tense of reaction of the application does not allow us to obtain quickly information and to implement benefits from application of the solution. For this reason we addressed Corus Consulting, as one of key partners of Qlik in Russia and to the integrator having extensive work experience with the companies occupied in the sector of production and distribution of alcoholic products — Anton Tolstonogov, the project manager in Efes Rus told.

Joint command of Corus Consulting and QUBData booked detailed audit of the architecture working in Efes Rus of a BI system and offered practical steps for optimization and modification of the solution, having saved logic of its work. Standard tasks within such projects: audit and identification of "narrow" places, modification of a data model of the solution, optimization of scripts of loading and transformation of data, simplification of calculation formulas at the level of the interface, development and setup of scenarios of administration of the QlikView components, etc.

During the project data loading speed in QlikView according to separate applications was reduced seven times. If earlier data filtering and creation of reports took up to five minutes, then now time of opening of analytical applications was reduced at 20-60 times, as a result the speed of response to selections does not exceed 3-15 seconds.

Speed of obtaining correct information — the critical requirement for such business, and analytical tools, such as QlikView, are ideal for processing of large volumes of data. However in order that even the advanced analytical solution worked optimum, it is necessary that at the time of a system design the logic of its functioning was correctly built and mechanisms for its scaling are put — Alexey Sverdlov, the director of the department of BI of Corus Consulting Group emphasized.
