On April 9, 2018 the company AMD announced that Japanese internet- the provider Yahoo Japan Corporation will begin to use processors AMD EPYC 7000.

EPYC 7551P processors are used in servers Dell EMC PowerEdge R6415 which were purchased by Yahoo Japan. The combination of EPYC 7551P processors and the PowerEdge R6415 servers allowed Yahoo Japan to receive highly scalable server solutions with one socket. Together with EPYC processors, Yahoo Japan got access to single-processor solutions which are suitable for the solution of a task of business with gipervizorny applications. They provide good balance of density, storage capacity and capacity.

"Yahoo Japan very carefully selects systems which should conform to high standards on performance and optimization in DPC. AMD EPYC showed compliance to these requirements, at the same time reducing total cost of ownership due to work in single-processor configurations".
