The Domodedovo Airport tested the system of automatic face recognition of Videotek

On April 17, 2018 the Haytek company announced that the Moscow Domodedovo Airport completed pilot testing of the automated face recognition. Based on testing the accuracy of identification was more than 90%.

A system was installed on one of entrance groups of air terminal. For testing the special base of photos of staff of the airport was created. A system analyzed data of a real passenger traffic using video cameras and identified in a frame of the person from the database and also performed the analysis of archive videos.

It is supposed that the implemented sensing technology will be used both by a security service of the airport, and law enforcement agencies.

Within a pilot project one of solutions was provided by Haytek group. When testing the AnyVision technology assumed as a basis when developing the Russian system of face recognition of Videotek was used.

The project is aimed at technology development of a security system of the airport. We expect to make use of working experience and competences of contractors which develop sensing technologies of persons in the Russian market. Within the procedure of the choice of the supplier a competition will be held — Denis Yarygin, the managing director of Domodedovo IT Services, uniform provider of IT services of the airport told.
