NPF Sberbank placed the equipment in MegadPC Southern port

NPF Sberbank announced on April 13, 2018 end of the main stages of the Reserve DPC project (RDPC). Placement of the equipment in MegadPC of Sberbank Southern port provides disaster tolerance of infrastructure of fund. The data center conforms to requirements of the international standard Tier 3 — it guarantees fault tolerance coefficient at the level of 99.982%, declared in fund.

One of the most important tasks of non-state pension fund — not only a long stable investment strategy, but also providing reliable infrastructure which will allow to carry out a progressive tense the accounting of retirement accounts and to provide to the client secure and transparent access to them. Reserve data processing centers — the vital need which is designed to satisfy the growing business needs — noted in NPF Sberbank.

According to the director of information technology of NPF Sberbank Andrey Kozlov, in plans of the organization — creation of a geographically distributed complex of reserve DPCs due to equipment installation in DPC of Sberbank to Skolkovo.

The reserve data center performs functions of processing, information storage. Consolidation of computing resources and means of data storage in DPC allows to optimize total cost of ownership IT infrastructure. Data exchange with RDPC is provided on independent data transmission channels which will be able to provide continuous communication even in case of physical damage of one of communication lines, emphasized in NPF Sberbank.

According to representatives of fund, the project of RDPC of NPF Sberbank is demonstrative in terms of organizational complexity and stable work on a three-year period. Its duration is caused by need of deep upgrade of infrastructure at continuous organization activity.

In particular, for project implementation it was required to carry out deep upgrade of production environments. Thanks to due coordination of work of technical specialists it was succeeded to reduce to a minimum of an error and to provide high quality providing IT services.

The information security for this reason, after long market research, the decision on placement in DPC at the only shareholder was made is not less important — the head of the safety department of NPF Sberbank Eduard Dontsov said. — We are sure not only of reliability of the DPC, but also of the guaranteed observance of all requirements of the legislation at service of our equipment by technical support specialists. It considerably reduces risks of unauthorized access to data array of fund.
