Vega is a complex of the systems of telemedicine and control of parameters of hospital networks which allows to integrate indications of engineering and medical devices into a single network and to manage them by means of everything one device.

The software and hardware complex is based on only one device which integrates functions of the engineering systems, important for doctors, and transfers data to one monitor of management. Using Vega in the operating room it is possible to create own network of medical devices, to receive video signal from any sources and to transfer him to all monitors and devices on internal network and on the Internet. That work with the Vega system, it is necessary just to connect to it the equipment installed in the operating room.

In Vega only own software of MVS company developed especially for a complex is used thanks to what it is easy to adapt a system for any medical institutions.

Functions

  • Management of the engineering systems of the operating room (drives of doors, blinds, parameters of medical gases, climate, status of filters, quality of power supply, lighting, information displays, etc.).
  • Collecting, processing, storage and transfer of medical information from sources (cameras, negatoscopes, angiographs, MIS, dental cameras, x-ray devices, operational microscopes, endoscopes, the narcotic and respiratory equipment, etc.) and its display on monitors (directly in operating rooms); collecting of statistical data for engineering services about a condition of equipment of operating rooms.
  • Broadcast of audio-and video flows, biometric data, special medical information from the operating room in real time and a video conference format. Record of all data received in a work progress.
  • Quick access to archives of treatment and prevention facilities/health facilities (under the DICOM and HL7 protocols. Converting of images in the DICOM format. Data exchange with MIS of hospital.

Components

  • Management system for engineering networks
    • Allows to regulate parameters of operating engineering systems, laboratories and other regime premises of health facilities. The system of detection of accidents and report generation is provided.

  • Management system for the medical equipment

    • Integrates and synchronizes the signals arriving from the medical equipment. Allows to exercise control over some functions of medical devices from the Vega monitor.

  • Multimedia system

    • Collects, processes and transfers media flows. Allows to lose audio recordings in operational halls. Keeps record of negotiations between doctors in the video conference mode. Gives the chance to be connected to broadcasts and the built-in audiocarriers.

  • System of video management

    • Adapts all entering video signals and redistributes them on monitors in the formats providing high resolution of the image. Supports the PiP function ("picture in picture").

  • System of video conference

    • Allows to perform remote biomonitoring of the patient, telemedicine consultations, broadcasts of transactions, teletraining, remote control over medical processes and the analysis of medical errors.

  • Workflow system

    • Will organize synchronization of data with archives of hospital on special medical protocols. Saves information in the format necessary for exchange with MIS.

  • System of archiving

    • Will organize simple, intuitive and quick search in the database. Performs export and import of data. Stores data in high resolution (FULL HD/4K).

The MVS Vega system includes several important technical components.

The NCB body (the network managing block) is a management system for engineering networks of the operating room. The device has the minimum dimensions and is included in the basic package of a complex. The customer can select functions which are necessary for him for work. For this purpose it is necessary to build in modules with the corresponding expansion the NCB body.

Control of a complex is exercised by means of the touch monitor which is placed directly in the operating room and meets all hygienic requirements according to the federal law regulating sanitary and epidemiologic regulations. For convenience of work it is possible to connect additional monitors to a system. The doctor himself decides what information on them will be displayed — whether it be a conference or archives from MIS.

To make a working space more convenient and functional, it is possible to connect to the Vega system also other equipment: information displays (show the major information flows — time since the beginning of transaction, stop watches, timers and also pictures of radiodiagnosis and other information), indicating panels (signal about dangerous and important situations), individual microphones, the built-in columns, video cameras, mice, keyboards, a framework and glasses for monitors, doors, blinds, converters, switches, etc.

Scenarios of application

Basic scenario

The Vega complex functions within one operating room and forms the isolated network for ensuring autonomy, reliability and security of transactions. A system is intended for data management, received from video sources and the medical equipment. It is easy-to-work, it is easily installed without adaptation of the existing engineering networks. Application at absence is possible connections to the general IT network.

Expanded scenario

After installation of the expanded Vega configuration the operating room stops being just the room of surgical intervention. A system is used not only for control and documentation of the processes happening in the operating room. By means of Vega information transfer on a local network and the Internet, data exchange with MIS and special archives and also synchronization with a transmission system and archivings of medical images of PACS is performed. Thanks to it carrying out the closed broadcastings and conferences became possible.

Hi-tech scenario

Further expansion of a system assumes consolidation of several Vega complexes in one network. Specialists get an information access from all operating rooms of hospital in real time and to any data which are stored in the database. Use of all functions of a complex is possible at connection to the special server.

2018: Announcement

The Medical Visual Systems company provided on April 28, 2018 a complex of the systems of telemedicine and control of hospital and engineering networks MVS Vega which release took place at the end of 2017. According to developers, when developing Vega creators relied on need of the medical industry to receive the professional tool to expand an operating capability, to make of the operating room not just the room where surgical intervention is performed, and to create full-fledged command center all medical processes.

As result, a system connected all a number of functions, necessary for the doctor, and allows to solve problems which face telemedicine. Vega serves for implementation of remote consultations, teletraining using the organization of broadcast of surgeries in real time, the postponed video consultations, remote biomonitoring of the patient and creation of uniform base of medical data in the cloud storage.

The complex first of all was created for application in the medical centers, treatment and prevention facilities and operating rooms, but also can be used in the different fields of business, production, education, science, etc., consider in MVS.
